Brass Hammers with Fiberglass Handles
Yellow Brass #865*. Cast-on tubular steel handles that are coated in a non-slip sanded paint. Made in the USA.
Metal hardness comparisons can be seen here.
Our hammers are made using the following three metal types: Nickel-Aluminum-Bronze, Red Brass and Yellow Brass. For definitions and hardness ratings, click here. Our Brass Hammers come with Fiberglass, Wood, Plastic or Steel handles and the shapes vary from cylindrical, barrel and square-shaped. You can request special handle lengths on most hammers.
Generally, brass is considered to be non-sparking. However,
The Hammer Source does not guarantee any hammer to be
non-sparking. Hammers can pick up other materials during use and those materials, like iron or steel, can be imbedded in the brass and cause sparks. Soft metal hammers like copper, aluminum and brass should be reground and dressed before each use in a critical environment.
Why so many handle types? You can't cut fiberglass handles to length, so we offer a variety of lengths to suit your preference. We also have rubber grips and in some sizes polyclad (plastic coated) handles. Need a special size? Give us a call! 877-496-2537
