Malleable Iron Hammers are annealed at 1600 degrees for 2 days. The iron becomes soft and pliable. Malleable Iron Hammers don't chip, break or split, they simply "mushroom" so you won't mar what you strike.
Use Malleable Iron in place of steel or lead hammers.
It will last longer than lead and it won't mar like steel.
The Hammer Source makes 5 sizes of Malleable Iron
Hammers - 1,2,3,4 and 5lb. Each size is made with
tough fiberglass handles that are epoxied to the head.
Most fiberglass handles have a notched rubber non-slip grip. The handle will not separate if broken.
The Hammer Source uses solid hickory wood handles on three sizes, 1,2 and 3 lb for lighter duty jobs. The solid hickory handles have a steel wedge and both the head and wedge are steel pinned for safety.
